Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about Infinity-Filter.
Quick answers to the most common questions, grouped by topic. For deeper guidance, browse the docs from the sidebar.
Getting started
Do I need to change my Minecraft server software to use Infinity-Filter?
No. Infinity-Filter sits in front of your server as a transparent reverse proxy. Vanilla, Paper, Purpur, Fabric, Forge, Velocity, BungeeCord — they all work without modification.
How long does setup take?
About 5 minutes — create a network in the panel, add a backend, and point your DNS at the CNAME the panel gives you. The CNAME alone verifies the domain (a TXT fallback is recommended but optional). The Setup guide walks through every step.
Can I keep using my current panel and plugins?
Yes. Infinity-Filter only handles the network edge. Your panel, plugins, world data, economy, ranks — nothing changes on the server side.
Coverage & capacity
Where are the Infinity-Filter PoPs located?
Canada, Germany, France and Poland. More locations are planned, gated by demand.
What is Infinity-Filter's mitigation capacity?
L3/L4: drops 17 Tb/s+ of malicious traffic. L7: stops ~20 million requests per second. Upstream OVH filtering layer has demonstrated 1.5 Tb/s+ capacity on top.
Does Infinity-Filter support Bedrock players via Geyser?
Yes. Bedrock requires a dedicated IP on Infinity-Filter; the Geyser integration page walks through every step (dedicated IP order, Geyser config, DNS, PROXY protocol layers).
Are voice chat plugins supported?
Yes — both PlasmoVoice and SimpleVoiceChat are supported as first-class module backends. A dedicated IP is required for voice modules.
Does Infinity-Filter offer Cloudflare Spectrum?
No. Infinity-Filter is a standalone DDoS protection network for Minecraft — it doesn't resell Cloudflare Spectrum.
Does Infinity-Filter protect web hosting?
No. It's Minecraft only (Java + Bedrock via Geyser). For web services, put them on a separate subdomain behind Cloudflare or any web-focused CDN.
Networks & domains
Can a specific domain redirect to a specific backend within the same network?
No. Within a single network, all domains load-balance across all backends. To send a specific domain to a specific backend, create a separate network.
What happens to my origin IP after I switch?
It stays private. Players resolve your hostname to the IF edge and never see your origin. Once you lock down the backend firewall to only accept IF's IP ranges, the origin is effectively unreachable.
Billing & plans
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit card (automated) and PayPal.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. A trial is available on request for any paid plan. A free tier is also available for entry-level use.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Open Billing → Plans in the panel. Upgrades are prorated mid-cycle with no downtime. Downgrades apply immediately if the player count fits the lower tier.
Can sub-users pay invoices?
No. Only the network owner's account can pay. Sub-users can manage the network otherwise.
API
Is there a public API?
Yes. Generate a token from the panel (User → API Tokens) and explore the endpoints in our public Postman workspace. See Miscellaneous → Infinity-Filter API.
Account & support
Why don't I see any networks in the support bot on Discord?
Link your Discord account on the panel under User → General → Discord account link. The bot needs that link to recognize you automatically.
Troubleshooting
My Bedrock or voice module suddenly stopped working after a renewal — what happened?
During subscription renewal, billing has been observed to wrongly flag a dedicated IP for cancellation. Open a support ticket — we can re-enable it platform-side.
How do I tune the anti-bot if I get false positives on proxy restarts?
Open Network → Settings → Mitigation and raise the CPS threshold above your normal peak. Mass reconnect storms after a proxy restart can briefly exceed the default 5 CPS.
